Oni final

Calling this done. Probably could keep noodling, but it's time to move on. Didn't turn out quite the way I wanted as I wanted this to be a different style to my usual doodlings...

Oni chosen

Starting to work one of the sketches up at lunch today...

Oni - Start sketch

Haven't sketched for a while - so even though I started 3 days before the end of the CHOW. This is my attempt at an Oni.

Oni (鬼) are a kind of yōkai from Japanese folklore, variously translated as demons, devils, ogres or trolls.

Long time no post...

I've been busy getting The Paper Fox interactive book up and ready for launch. Now that it's getting close and I'm feeling a little more relaxed, I've started sketching again.

Here are a couple of quick sculpts I did while Skyping with various folks. I realise that Skype and digital doodling don't seem mutually beneficial, but it's rather the opposite. I find that I retain much more information when sketching, there's also science backing this up: Science!
